but i do not appreciate referencing my art, especially commissions other people paid for.
Don't copy my art style, poses or designs, it wont do any good anyway.
Instead, reference your art of irl animal photos.
I put effort in what I make, and people are just tracing it or taking important aspects of my style, for some reason.
If you like me as an artist you are more than welcome to commission and support me, but by copying my art (even if you cant afford commissioning) you're being disrespectful.
If you wanna trace my art for practice i wont stop you,but don't post it, why would you?
It kind of bugs me.
And some people do that or even finish their pieces and post it without crediting me.
At least have some common sense and ask me first.
It's kind of a dick move yaknow
It's not about anyone specific, just a general message.
And I'm sure other artists don't like it as well.

Style theft isn't even a thing
Referencing is ok, tracing is ok too (as long as it's for learning)
Like there could be someone not trying to copy your style but trying to get a good grip of cartoon-y wolf bodies, and so they reference your art. You can't copyright a style or pose, referencing is for exploration and learning. HecK i've been referencing off of human pieces off pinterest to develop my own style. I agree, if they heavily reference then yes they need to ask first and give credit. But referencing and tracing is completely okay when you're trying to learn. I don't even know why you posted this when there's some pieces in your gallery that I could easily connect with other pieces I've seen (but probably couldn't find again), so...
